Replacement probes for YSI temperature products are manufactured to the highest standards.  These probes have played a key role in Medical Temperature, Life Science Temperature and Laboratory Temperature monitoring since the early 1950s. 400 series temperature probes were among the first practical electronic medical, laboratory and life science thermometers.  Shortly thereafter, the first interchangeable thermistor components which became known as the 400 Series probes were introduced. These designs set the industry standards for accurately measuring temperature in the operating room, lab and life sciences processes. The 400 Series continues to be the most widely used probe platform.

Specifications:

Temperature Range 0 to 60°C Accuracy ±0.2°C from -1 to 60°C, ±0.1°C from 25 to 45°C Cleaning Probes should be cleaned with a mild detergent and water to remove excess bio-burden and improve the effectiveness of disinfection and sterilization. Disinfection Low level: Cidex/glutaraldehyde High level: Cidex/glutaraldehyde, dilute bleach, 70% isopropyl alcohol Sterilization Ethylene Oxide gas, STERISTM System 10 Thermistor Type 2252 ohm B-curve thermistors (400 Series Probe Tables) Cable and Termination 10 ft. (3 m) vinyl cable terminated in standard 1/4" phone plug  (Note: Disposable Probes do not use this connector)

All of these temperature probes are calibrated using standards traceable to the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), and carry the CE Mark (certified to the Medical Device Directive (MMD) 93/42/EEC).
