Process Analyzers - Love Them or Hate Them - Try To Understand Them - They Are Here To Stay

 Process Analyzers are a growing segment (market share) of the growing process automation market.  In this short presentation I will try to provide some information regarding the process analyzer marketplace, a description/definition of what constitutes a process analyzer, some of their uses and unique benefits, and an understanding of why most process analyzer projects are and need to often be managed differently than many other portions of an automation/process control process/project.  Some companies use and treat them as a necessary evil.  Others use them to make them money.  Why the differences?  This presentation will be based on my perspective after 28 years of chemical industry experience and 9 years of consulting.

 We have a very convenient meeting place.  We meet at TGI Friday’s located at 9990 Linn Station Rd (502-426-2118).  The restaurant is located in the North-East quadrant of Hurstbourne Lane and I-64, across I-64 from Bluegrass Industrial Park.  The ISA will buy your dinner.  Bring a prospective new member and we will treat them to dinner as well.  As usual, drinks are on you .
